Rates and Fees

Our fee is $165 for a 55-minute session.  We accept payment by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover)

Cancellations/rescheduling must be arranged at least 48 hours before the session by phone.  If a session is missed or canceled/rescheduled within 24 hours of the session, you will be charged a $145 cancellation fee.  In the case of inclement weather, a challenge with transportation, or any reason you are unable to reach the office for an in-person session, you can opt to attend the session via phone.  Otherwise, the session will be cancelled

Payments are due at the time of service for in-person session.  Payment for video or phone sessions must be received prior to the session via credit, cash, or check.  We reserve the right to release your information to a collections agency to collect unpaid fees, if necessary.  Currently, Lowcountry Family & Children in Mt. Pleasant is not accepting any forms of insurance as payment, however, most insurance plans do cover our services.  We do not file the insurance claim.  Payment is due at the time of services, and then you are provided with a “superbill”.

Superbills are service receipts that provide all the information an insurance company needs to create a healthcare claim. There is information that a provider (me) needs to put on each bill including my NPI, Tax ID, License Number, Diagnosis code, and Service Code.

Clients who submit superbills to their insurance companies can potentially get reimbursed for out of network medical and therapeutic services.

Any reimbursement provided by an insurance company goes directly to the client.

We often recommend that you contact your insurance provider beforehand if you are interested in exploring this route. Tell them that you are considering entering yourself or your child into counseling with a service provider who is out of network but provides superbills for reimbursement.  They will let you know how much reimbursement they will provide with your plan.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
